After a while off of from blogging I’m back! I’ve had a lot going on personally in the past month so I apologise for ghosting you all for a bit. But I’m back and better,… More
Now I don’t want to jinx it, but Summer 2016 has been pretty amazing weather as far as England is concerned…Best believe everyone has been making the most of the sizzling summer and when it comes to swimwear it’s clear to see that the one piece swimsuit has made a big comeback! After laying low for quite a few years this Summer the shops are filled with an array of beautifully patterned and shaped swimsuits.
Whilst browsing online I found an American based lingerie site Adore Me . It’s members only but to sign up is completely free and you just need your email address. In sizes xs – 3x this will definitely be my go to for swimwear this Summer and for many to come; with beautiful prints and silhouettes to suit all body shapes, I’m glad I found this gem!
I’ve have browsed and picked out a few of my favs so you don’t have to! I’ve also added some accessories and given some style advice alongside them to keep you looking at the top of your beach and poolside game.
I had to start with this stunning one piece as it’s my favourite. I love the mesh panelling, it really accentuates and flatters the curves of your body and it’s right on trend this season. I’ve created this look with a party holiday destination in mind and you can never go wrong with a black swimsuit and this one is only $39.95 in the sale! I’ve teamed it with a simple black suede choker (River Island, £6) and a colourful beaded cross body bag (Boohoo, £12.)

Apologies for the lack of posting, but lucky me got a break! (No it wasn’t Ibiza…as much as would have loved it to have been!) But to tell you the truth I’m really glad my mum booked us a week away in Somerset, it’s really opened my eyes up to the beauty of England (yes, really.)
A lot of people don’t know this but I’m actually quite an outdoorsy person. I lovee camping, hikes and crazy hands on adventures! So you can imagine my excitement when I found out we would be doing plenty of that in Somerset. Although, one slight hitch..I’ve always wanted to go caving but am so so claustrophobic. Despite deciding against it, my mum booked me in to explore two caves with them…I did it! Despite my reservations and fears it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. And it was one of the most breathtaking moments of my life. I’ll link some photos below to show you the caves but nothing can compare to the beauty of these to the naked eye.
I got up to so much whilst I was away that it would take forever to write a post on it, so instead i’ll just show you…
DAY 1 – Bath Town Centre / Cathedral Visit
DAY 2 – Visiting Cheddar / Gough’s Cave / Hiking Cheddar Gorge
DAY 3 – Wookey Hole Caves
DAY 4 – Stonehenge / Sailsbury Catherdral
“You know all those things you want to do, you should do them.”
In England we don’t usually see much of a Summer, cries of Brits longing for some Sunshine can be heard ringing throughout the country. Until it actually happens that is…typical British humour! But if you’re like me and adore the sunshine and soaring temperatures then you’ll want to check out my list of Summer Beauty Essentials to keep you sparkling and safe in this weather!
Now yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far! I made the most out of it and hit the beach! I always wear spf protection wherever I go! As sun is a massive factor in the ageing process (a.k.a wrinkles!) I always chop and change between sun creams but the Malibu Cream Lotion Spray is one of my affordable favourites. Its super moisturising and comes in a spray bottle which is my favourite way to apply sun lotion. And I just love the smell of Malibu Sun care products, smells of holidays! £3.99 from http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/m1/malibu/icat/malibu
Now I made the mistake of putting sun lotion on my face this Summer and low and behold I’ve broken out in spots. So I’ve found the perfect alternative that is gentler on your face, the Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunshine Moisturiser. It includes spf 15 so protects your face against uv rays as well as a built in gradual tan, for that holiday glow without the holiday! And it doesn’t smell of fake tan, bonus! On offer for £4.99 from http://www.boots.com/en/Olay-Complete-Everyday-Sunshine-Moisturiser-Cream-with-sunless-tanner-SPF15-Light-50ml-_24656/
Some people don’t realise but your hair needs protecting from uv rays too, especially if you dye your hair! Over exposure of your hair to the sun without protection can cause dryness, dullness and breakage. So my go to hair protection at the moment is Alterna’s Bamboo UV Fade Proof Fluide. It comes in a pump bottle, its a clear liquid you only need a couple of pumps (depending on your hair length) I have shoulder length hair and I use two pumps. Spread if evenly through your hair and your hair is protected against the uv rays detrimental effects on your hair! Reapply every few hours to ensure full protection. £24.00 from http://www.lookfantastic.com/alterna-bamboo-uv-fade-proof-fluide-75ml/10580206.html
Lastly as most of you girls know the heat and humidity can really mess about with our hairs natural state. I find mine becomes frizzy and tangled if I let it dry naturally. I’ve tried a few different products but have finally come across my saviour Unite 7 Second Condition Leave In Detangler. I cannot thank my lucky stars enough that I come across this product! After washing your hair lightly towel dry then spritz the product in to your hair all over and gently brush through. Then go about your normal routine of blow drying your hair or letting it dry naturally. My hair is naturally loosely curly (but frizzy) since using this product each time i wash my hair it’s no longer tangled but smooth and my curls are more defined. £17.95 from http://unitehair.co.uk/product/7seconds-condition/
So there are my Summer hair and skin care essentials, what are yours? I’d love to give some of your suggestions a try, leave me a comment in the section below!🙂
Peace & Love as always
As you’ve probably seen your facebook, twitter and instagram timelines filling up with an array hat throwing montages…It’s graduation season! And despite my fears that I wouldn’t make it, my day came on Monday 11th July. Now of course graduation prep for those of you who have experienced it, know that it is an incredibly stressful time. Full of intense schedule planning, MANY outfit proposals and a whole lot of nerves!
Now in true Georgia fashion, I got stuck in traffic on the M3, JUST made it with 3 minutes to spare until the ceremony proceedings started. However I still had to be brought to my seat MIA style to the utter shock and panic of the lady at the door. As you can imagine I was shot stares from everyone in the room, not one of my finest moments! But the point is I made it! The ceremony was amazing and I didn’t fall over (as i had nightmares about) but my friend did…I have the video, no I am not putting it up…So, if you still have your graduation to come and need some tips on getting organised for the big day I’ve compiled a list of tips. (Which I probably should of done prior to my graduation day.)
*Rent your hat and gown in advance, most universities allow for same day hire, but it just takes away one less stress of the day!
*YOUR OUTFIT. An important part of graduation day, you need to factor in all possibilities when choosing the perfect outfit. Firstly, those heels are uh-mazing, but are they too high? Am I likely to fall over in them? If you’re wearing a floaty style dress, is it going to blow up mid grad picture taking? Is your outfit too revealing? You want to look and feel amazing but remember this is a very formal event and looking smart is key! My graduation dress came from boohoo at a bargain £25, for the most beautiful off the shoulder peach dress. I paired this with a pair of baby pink heels and my prized Vivienne Westwood earrings.
*Have a schedule, plan out your day to ensure you arrive with enough time prior to the ceremony and think about your celebrations afterwards. Maybe you’re going to lunch or for a few drinks to celebrate. Or maybe you’re even staying there the night to go out and party that night. Either way its a good idea to have a rough schedule/plan that you and all your family/friends attending know about, just to help make the day run a bit smoother.
*Graduation is kind of like being at a festival, its all fun and games until you loose half of your friends, you’re flapping your hands around in hopes they’ll see you. And getting a group photo is a task that requires great skill and preparation. So, in order to make sure you get that all important group photo, take a few before the ceremony. (Leave the hat throwing one until after.) Then that way you’re guaranteed to have a few well composed photos of you all before it becomes carnage after the ceremony.
*Stay hydrated! Especially if your ceremony is is in the Summer, trust me those gowns and hats are a lot heavier than they look! You also might need it just before you go on stage, *queue dry throat.*
*ENJOY YOURSELF. This moment only comes around once for most, so make the most out of it, take as many pictures and do as many hat throws as you please!

So I thought I’d introduce some different content into my blog to make it more varied and exciting. I want it to capture my life as well as my interest in clothes and beauty. So what better way to start this new venture than with a festival post! Festival season has officially started! And I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to British Summertime Festival at Hyde Park on the 1st July. Thanks to the amazing Fashion guru and blogger Stephi LaReine, who ran an Instagram competition in partnership with BST festival to give away two pairs of tickets.
Headlining was Massive Attack, you may know them as the group that created the musical masterpieces that are ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Unfinished Sympathy.’ Other acts performing throughout the day included GhostPoet, Patti Smith and WarPaint. Over the past few years I have heard raving reviews about British Summertime Festival but never actually been myself. I get the hype now, the festival has such a friendly atmosphere and the facilities available are awesome; from a huge variety of catering to rides, freebie stalls and carnival creatures, this is the perfect festival for families. And as we all know at a festival toilet facilities are always a concern, but they were very clean and had minimal queuing! We spent most of our time at the Casa Bacardi stage throughout the day as that’s where it seemed to be happening! Surrounded by carnival dancers the stage was headlined by different djs throughout the day playing the best in reggae and r&b music, it was a great atmosphere. When the time come around to head to the main stage to see Massive Attack headline I was slightly disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to make an attempt to get to the front, as there was a ‘golden circle’ which was outlined with barriers at the front of the stage reserved for Barclaycard customers only. Saying that, the act was brilliant and I still had a great view from outside of the golden circle!
I thoroughly enjoyed Massive Attack’s performance there was a great atmosphere in the crowd and I will be attending again next year for sure! Now in case you’re like me and wondering what other festivals you can sink yourselves into this year I’ve compiled a small list of festivals in the UK that I definitely think are worth checking out this year!
BESTIVAL / ISLE OF WIGHT / 8TH – 11TH SEPTEMBER
BOARDMASTERS / NEWQUAY / 10TH – 14TH AUGUST
LATTITUDE FESTIVAL / SOUTHWOLD / 14TH – 17TH JULY
SOUTH WEST FOUR / CLAPHAM COMMON / 27TH – 28 AUGUST
