Current Crush: Adore Me Swimwear

Now I don’t want to jinx it, but Summer 2016 has been pretty amazing weather as far as England is concerned…Best believe everyone has been making the most of the sizzling summer and when it comes to swimwear it’s clear to see that the one piece swimsuit has made a big comeback! After laying low for quite a few years this Summer the shops are filled with an array of beautifully patterned and shaped swimsuits.

Whilst browsing online I found an American based lingerie site Adore Me . It’s members only but to sign up is completely free and you just need your email address. In sizes xs – 3x this will definitely be my go to for swimwear this Summer and for many to come; with beautiful prints and silhouettes to suit all body shapes, I’m glad I found this gem!

I’ve have browsed and picked out a few of my favs so you don’t have to! I’ve also added some accessories and given some style advice alongside them to keep you looking at the top of your beach and poolside game.

The ‘Krista’

I had to start with this stunning one piece as it’s my favourite. I love the mesh panelling, it really accentuates and flatters the curves of your body and it’s right on trend this season. I’ve created this look with a party holiday destination in mind and you can never go wrong with a black swimsuit and this one is only $39.95 in the sale! I’ve teamed it with a simple black suede choker (River Island, £6) and a colourful beaded cross body bag (Boohoo, £12.)

From black to white, this gorgeous strappy one piece is perfect for a picturesque beach day in Greece. Team with heeled tan wedges (New Look, £18) and animal print shades (Topshop, £20) and you’ve got an minimal and effortless but chic beach look.

Last but certainly not least is this amazing halter print swimsuit. I love the colours and print on this number! I love the black boning and the unique u shaped neckline. Only $49.95 it also has a removable halter strap to turn it into a bandeau one piece. Paired with a gorgeous oversized straw hat (ASOS, £18) and a straw cross body duffle bag (New Look at ASOS, £17.99.)

My Affordable Summer Skin and Hair Care Essentials

In England we don’t usually see much of a Summer, cries of Brits longing for some Sunshine can be heard ringing throughout the country. Until it actually happens that is…typical British humour! But if you’re like me and adore the sunshine and soaring temperatures then you’ll want to check out my list of Summer Beauty Essentials to keep you sparkling and safe in this weather!

Now yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far! I made the most out of it and hit the beach! I always wear spf protection wherever I go! As sun is a massive factor in the ageing process (a.k.a wrinkles!) I always chop and change between sun creams but the Malibu Cream Lotion Spray is one of my affordable  favourites. Its super moisturising and comes in a spray bottle which is my favourite way to apply sun lotion. And I just love the smell of Malibu Sun care products, smells of holidays! £3.99 from

Now I made the mistake of putting sun lotion on my face this Summer and low and behold I’ve broken out in spots. So I’ve found the perfect alternative that is gentler on your face, the Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunshine Moisturiser.  It includes spf 15 so protects your face against uv rays as well as a built in gradual tan, for that holiday glow without the holiday! And it doesn’t smell of fake tan, bonus! On offer for £4.99 from

Some people don’t realise but your hair needs protecting from uv rays too, especially if you dye your hair! Over exposure of your hair to the sun without protection can cause dryness, dullness and breakage. So my go to hair protection at the moment is Alterna’s Bamboo UV Fade Proof Fluide.  It comes in a pump bottle, its a clear liquid you only need a couple of pumps (depending on your hair length) I have shoulder length hair and I use two pumps. Spread if evenly through your hair and your hair is protected against the uv rays detrimental effects on your hair! Reapply every few hours to ensure full protection. £24.00 from

Lastly as most of you girls know the heat and humidity can really mess about with our hairs natural state. I find mine becomes frizzy and tangled if I let it dry naturally. I’ve tried a few different products but have finally come across my saviour Unite 7 Second Condition Leave In Detangler. I cannot thank my lucky stars enough that I come across this product! After washing your hair lightly towel dry then spritz the product in to your hair all over and gently brush through. Then go about your normal routine of blow drying your hair or letting it dry naturally. My hair is naturally loosely curly (but frizzy) since using this product each time i wash my hair it’s no longer tangled but smooth and my curls are more defined. £17.95 from

So there are my Summer hair and skin care essentials, what are yours? I’d love to give some of your suggestions a try, leave me a comment in the section below! 🙂

Peace & Love as always

Sunny Days Away: Brighton

Last month I visited Brighton to stay with my friend Molly for a few days. Technically this was the second time I’d visited Brighton, but I feel the first time doesn’t really count, as it was only for half a day and it was a college trip…This time I really got to experience the Brighton culture and lifestyle and I fell very much in love!

From the moment I stepped off of the coach after a positively awful delayed 7 hour coach journey I instantly felt a sense of relief and happiness overcome me. The fresh sea air and the beach view tricked my mind into thinking I was in another country for a moment! I met Molly and we grabbed some doughnuts and set on a walk down the infamous Brighton pier. That night I was overwhelmed by the choice of places we could go to on a Thursday night, we decided to just go for a few drinks and have a big night out Friday… but very quickly things escalated andd we ended up in a restaurant at 5:30 in the morning sharing a vegetarian pizza to try and soak up the alcohol!

Feeling fragile to say the least the next day, we warily crawled out of bed and made our way to ‘The Lanes.’ An area of narrow streets filled with cute, little independent shops and businesses. I wished I had infinite money, because every single vintage and second store I went into I wanted to buy it out! It was heaven!

Unaware walking through the lanes, I looked up and jumped out of my skin with excitement when I realised I was standing outside of the famous ‘Choccywoccydodah’ chocolate shop! If you dont know what on earth this is then you’re missing out! Its an awesome chocolaterie based in Brighton with its own tv show even! It’s become so successful that it now has multiple stores across the Uk. So anyway, I had a field day in there….Then as if we hadn’t learnt our lesson already, we walked down to the seafront, and ordered a jug of sex on the beach, of course! And that night we wandered to a few small bars for a slightly more tame evening.

Unfortunately Saturday came and it was time to go home, but I made the most of every minute before my coach arrived and spent the day wandering through the quirky, art filled streets and reading Mockingjay on the beach and eating ice-cream, lots of ice-cream…

I’d love to know what your favourite things to do/places to go in Brighton are in the comments section, as I’m definitely planning on going back soon!
