Sugar Baby Lovin’ – Vita+Skin Collection

Calling all beauty lovers!

You all know by now that I love a product review…so today I have not one but TWO for you. From the oh so cute, Australian beach culture inspired and totally instagrammable brand ‘Sugar Baby.’  Sugar baby is an Australian based brand but luckily for everyone not in the beautiful land of AUS, it’s stocked in Superdrug! And I was lucky enough to wake up to Mr Postman last week delivering me two products from Sugar Baby’s new ‘Vita+Skin’ range! And the best thing is; its paraben free, cruelty free and doesn’t contain any artificial colours or fragrances! Both products I mention below and the rest of the Sugar Baby range can be purchased In any Superdrug store or online and directly on their website.

Hair Affair

I have extremely dry hair, so I’m always super excited to try out different hair treatments! I love the packaging this one comes in, with a screw cap pipe dispenser allowing for easy-peasy application when you’re in the shower or bath. It’s a hydrating coconut treatment (coconut is so so good for your hair and just about anything else!)

The product is thick but smooth and easy to apply to your hair; it contains organic coconut water, natural oils, shea butter and aloe vera. I would recommend using this after going through the motions of your normal hair washing routine and applying all over not forgetting your roots. The packaging states its a 5 minute treatment and I can confirm it definitely does it’s job in that time frame but I found leaving it on for an extra 5 minutes makes all the difference, my hair felt silky smooth once blow-dried. I also tried letting my hair dry naturally after using this treatment my hair was still smooth to the touch but not as much so as when it was blow dried. Nether the less my hair smelt lush and had a subtle shine to it. I would recommend this product especially if you have hair like mine which is dull and dry!

Slim-Ulate

I’m going to start this review by simply saying this is a wonder product! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received this coffee and coconut body scrub. Firstly, I have seen quite a few reviews of ‘slimming’ beauty products, but not many of them seemed to be overwhelmingly positive. I myself was sceptical, secondly I actually really dislike coffee, the taste and especially the smell…So I didn’t think I would find myself trying a coffee scrub that’s for sure! But I had heard it was good for your skin, so I gave it a go in the name of beauty and I am so pleased I did.

Once in the shower apply the scrub massaging it in circular motions onto your skin. Leave for as long as desired then wash off. I applied the scrub all over but focused mainly on my face and my thighs. When I washed the scrub off I was shocked to see that most of my cellulite wasn’t visible anymore! Basically the scrub and caffeine stimulates your blood flow and circulation which in turns reduces the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. So it’s not a permanent lasting product, but I only used it twice last week and my legs are still almost cellulite appearance free! My skin (especially on my face) was soft to the touch and the organic coconut oil hydrated my skin leaving me with a clear complexion. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone wanting to improve their blood circulation to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and or cellulite and if you have dry skin or skin disorders!

It’s always nice to try new products that can help us tackle our insecurities, but as always I promote body positivity and loving the skin you’re in!

Current Crush: Adore Me Swimwear

Now I don’t want to jinx it, but Summer 2016 has been pretty amazing weather as far as England is concerned…Best believe everyone has been making the most of the sizzling summer and when it comes to swimwear it’s clear to see that the one piece swimsuit has made a big comeback! After laying low for quite a few years this Summer the shops are filled with an array of beautifully patterned and shaped swimsuits.

Whilst browsing online I found an American based lingerie site Adore Me . It’s members only but to sign up is completely free and you just need your email address. In sizes xs – 3x this will definitely be my go to for swimwear this Summer and for many to come; with beautiful prints and silhouettes to suit all body shapes, I’m glad I found this gem!

I’ve have browsed and picked out a few of my favs so you don’t have to! I’ve also added some accessories and given some style advice alongside them to keep you looking at the top of your beach and poolside game.

The ‘Krista’

I had to start with this stunning one piece as it’s my favourite. I love the mesh panelling, it really accentuates and flatters the curves of your body and it’s right on trend this season. I’ve created this look with a party holiday destination in mind and you can never go wrong with a black swimsuit and this one is only $39.95 in the sale! I’ve teamed it with a simple black suede choker (River Island, £6) and a colourful beaded cross body bag (Boohoo, £12.)

BST Hyde Park Festival Review

Hey lovelies!

So I thought I’d introduce some different content into my blog to make it more varied and exciting. I want it to capture my life as well as my interest in clothes and beauty. So what better way to start this new venture than with a festival post! Festival season has officially started! And I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to British Summertime Festival at Hyde Park on the 1st July. Thanks to the amazing Fashion guru and blogger Stephi LaReine, who ran an Instagram competition in partnership with BST festival to give away two pairs of tickets.

Headlining was Massive Attack, you may know them as the group that created the musical masterpieces that are ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Unfinished Sympathy.’ Other acts performing throughout the day included GhostPoet, Patti Smith and WarPaint. Over the past few years I have heard raving reviews about British Summertime Festival but never actually been myself. I get the hype now, the festival has such a friendly atmosphere and the facilities available are awesome; from a huge variety of catering to rides, freebie stalls and carnival creatures, this is the perfect festival for families. And as we all know at a festival toilet facilities are always a concern, but they were very clean and had minimal queuing! We spent most of our time at the Casa Bacardi stage throughout the day as that’s where it seemed to be happening! Surrounded by carnival dancers the stage was headlined by different djs throughout the day playing the best in reggae and r&b music, it was a great atmosphere. When the time come around to head to the main stage to see Massive Attack headline I was slightly disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to make an attempt to get to the front, as there was a ‘golden circle’ which was outlined with barriers at the front of the stage reserved for Barclaycard customers only. Saying that, the act was brilliant and I still had a great view from outside of the golden circle!

I thoroughly enjoyed Massive Attack’s performance there was a great atmosphere in the crowd and I will be attending again next year for sure! Now in case you’re like me and wondering what other festivals you can sink yourselves into this year I’ve compiled a small list of festivals in the UK that I definitely think are worth checking out this year!

LATTITUDE FESTIVAL / SOUTHWOLD / 14TH – 17TH JULY

BEYONCE X TOPSHOP – IVY PARK

Hi beautiful people! It may seem a bit late to be posting about Beyonce’s Ivy Park launch in collaboration with Topshop, as it launched a few days ago. But the past few days have been crazy hectic for me personally I’ve had a lot going on. But I still wanted to post about it anyway as Bey is bae!

For all you Beyonce lovers out there (which is mostly everyone, lets be real) you’ve probably been eagerly awaiting the day that Beyonce’s Ivy Park line launched at Topshop stores worldwide. Largely influenced by the huge gym/sportswear trend the collection is practical and sassy! The collection certainly has got me motivated to use that unloved gym membership of mine! All items are available in sizes xxs-xl. Check out the promo video for the collection via the link below!

Of course I was straight in Topshop on launch day and although I was slightly disappointed with the availability of items in store, there is plenty more choice online! Stockists of Ivy Park include:

Logo Launch!

Hey guys! So after running my blog part time since its start a couple of years back I have decided to get into it full time. I’ve decided this as my degree is coming to an end and its a great platform for me to showcase my skills and act as a portfolio for me. And its also great to get to show you all behind the scenes of what I’m getting up to! So to kick off the start of my full-time blogging is the launch of my blogs new logos!

So, the first logo will be used on my blog and the second one will be used for business purposes, such as business cards, cv etc. As I’m super busy with uni work and everything in between the awesome Abbi Adeniyi created the logos for me, so big thank-you to her!
